Treasurer
- I am a postgraduate student pursuing a Master of Construction Management at Victoria University, Footscray Park. I did my Bachelor’s in Architecture, where I developed professional ethics, organisational qualities, analytical reasoning, leadership, and time management skills by staying on top of academic projects and critical deadlines. These experiences have enhanced my ability to plan my tasks strategically, manage time wisely, and communicate effectively. As an international student, I am a first-timer myself. My academic and professional journey, from architecture studios to construction, has moulded the way I interpret and understand the creative and technical dimensions of my field. I aim to bring these skills into action for my role at VUPA. This could be a place where every Postgraduate student's voice feels heard and valued.
- Personal Connection to the Mission:
- As a top performer throughout my academic and professional journey, I have always put forth my best ideas and pushed myself to take on new challenges. I want to channel that same energy for my role at VUPA, share similar interests and ideas, stay determined and focussed to create meaningful outcomes. The commitment I aim to have for the postgraduate community stems from my own experiences: navigating international study, industry expectations, and the need for strong student support systems.
As Treasurer, I aim to contribute through transparent and responsible financial management, strengthening VUPA’s initiatives with my organisational and analytical abilities to support student development, collaboration, and community building. Beyond financial stewardship, my foremost objective is to help all postgraduate students feel more connected to their fields of study, with access to relevant industry experience, internships and skill-building opportunities that enhance both academic and professional growth. I intend to contribute to every possible opportunity that comes my way, ensuring that every initiative I undertake is carried out with purpose, resilience and impact.
